It’s that time of the year again… Winter is here!

Ahhh Winter. That time of the year when sweatshirts and track pants are the official uniform, when hot coffee is endless and the heating is on all day.

So what’s the plan for winter?

Are you going to hibernate this winter, grabbing a hot water bottle and sinking in to bed, just waiting for the snow to subside? Hot chocolate, stews, dumplings, Netflix. What more could you want in the depths of winter?

How about some adventure?

Forest hikes and trails are beautiful at this time of the year; just make sure you’re prepared for all elements!

Have you tried ice fishing? That’s an experience unlike any other. We might try our hand at snow mobiling this year; get another thing ticked off our #bucketlist.

Moving on, Delta Force Paintball has news for our fellow Canadians. A few of our paintball centres have officially closed for the season, and will reopen in early March next year.

These photos are from our Ottawa paintball centre, which officially closed last week for the season.

Other centres that are closed are Sherwood Park in Edmonton and Strathmore just outside of Calgary. They’ll reopen in early March once the weather starts to warm up.

Until then, our centre at Barrie in Toronto will be open until mid December, depending on the weather. For all of our Vancouver-based paintball fanatics the great news is that our centre in Maple Ridge will continue to be open for the entire season!

In other news, with winter well and truly here in Canada, here are some fun things to keep you entertained until the snow starts to melt:

  • Build a snowman (tacky, but fun!)
  • Have a snow fight
  • Make the biggest hot chocolate on the planet and drink it
  • Make a mug cake (see here for a cool recipe)
  • Netflix all winter
  • Go for a hike in the snow
  • Attach a Go Pro to your dog while on a hike and edit it into a movie
  • Play a game of Ice Hockey
  • Go ice skating
  • Go to the ski fields and practice your skills

Until next season,

Happy winter paintball warriors!
